We were one of various ground trucks invited to the FedEx Corporate office to show the new logos.    The truck had the new signs installed in July and we are now a rolling billboard.   The signs look good and I enjoy seeing them in the mirror.

Before the event our truck was cleaned from top to bottom, inside and out and everything polished.   On Friday morning we were escorted onto the property and staged with the other trucks at the appropriate angle for the best presentation.

While waiting for the directors we visited with the global marketing team about the new signs and what they mean to the company.   One thought really struck a cord with me was the fact that when we see the same thing over and over it becomes invisible.    These news signs are going to pop out at motorists and bystanders as we go by.

Bob and I were the only drivers at this event and we were able to open our truck so the directors could tour the inside.   I had both Fred Smith and Bill Logue inside the truck talking with me about how the truck was set up, our fuel mileage, and our safety devices we have added to our truck.

Bob meanwhile was discussing the aerodynamics of our truck.   There were many questions about the Real Wheel Aero Covers, the Air Tabs, the lack of placard holders, and what our future plans are with the Cascadia.   We were pleased that Fred was happy with our signs and that he went back to the Cascadia several times each time viewing the truck from a different angle.

We were able to show our Cascadia and the Bolt Custom Sleepers benefits and discuss how we are able to stay in service for a longer period of time and our ability to service our customers.   We enjoyed answering the various questions and the looks of awe when people were inside of our truck with many getting their picture taken sitting behind the steering wheel.

Fred Smith, FedEx Chairman, Founder, President and CEO of a 39-billion global transportation, business and Logistics Company was very down to earth and interested in our truck and the changes we have made.

Bill Logue, FedEx Freight President and CEO was also in our truck asking questions.   He was interested in our fuel mileage and how well the Cascadia has performed for us.   Bill was also at one time the vice president of the Memphis World Hub, which we had just taken a tour of.

Virginia Albanese, FedEx Custom Critical president and CEO has been with the company since 1986 and worked in many of the departments.   Over the years we have spent time with Virginia talking about FedEx Custom Critical and where the company is headed .   We consider Virginia to be a top-notch person and as well as a great example of what a CEO should be.

Meeting Fred and Bill to us has been one of the many outstanding experiences we have had while  leased to FedEx Custom Critical.   We will continue to provide our services one customer at a time to the best of our ability.
