We get information for all different kinds and places.  One of those is from the company that prepares our taxes and helps us with dealing with business questions, problems, etc.  They send us an email about once a month with multiple articles that pertain to a wide range of topics that have to do with business, taxes, growth, etc.  One of those articles we found to be particularly interesting.  We will include the link to it at the end of this blog.

The article had a long title “Always Moving Forward: How to Optimize Performance, Protect What You’ve Built, and Prosper into the Future”.  Sure, is a mouth full for sure.  We want to hit what we thought was particularly interesting high point from it.

At the top right off were the key take always the wanted the reader to get from this article:

  • Businesses need to focus on leading indicators, effective forecasting, and sound data strategies to make informed decisions and improve financial, operational, and technical performance.
  • Proactive risk management and adapting to changing regulations and emerging threats are crucial for maintaining a strong security posture.  Companies should consider diversification, mergers and acquisitions, and increased technology adoption to drive efficiency and ensure long-term success.
  • Each of the three key points above have links to articles that cover them in more depth.  If you want to learn more on them, I suggest following the link below and click on the ones you want more information on from inside the main article.

One thing that really stood out was that 85 percent of company leaders believe strongly and expect growth going into 2025.  What does that mean to trucking?  Well when the economy grows that means manufacturing and such makes more “stuff”.  When there is more “stuff” it have to move.  Most of the “stuff” in this country moves by truck.  To make that “stuff” companies need raw materials.  Here again to make more “stuff” you need more raw materials.  Again, those are moved mostly by trucks.

The next point it makes is that businesses to continue sustained success, they need to focus on the following areas.

  • Financial
  • Operational
  • Technical Strengths

Those three need to focused on now and for the future.

Now some draw backs.  The article points out three challenges where businesses may fail to realize their full potential:

  •  Lack of visibility into basic business performance.
  •  Inability to adapt ever-changing regulations and cyber threats.
  •  Planning that doesn’t connect today’s operations with tomorrow’s growth.

“But there is an opportunity to move forward in a stronger, more strategic way. Focusing on optimal performance and protecting what you’ve built will help shape your business’s future with intention.”

They did go into how.  We will put in the high-level bullet points.  For more information for each check the article itself.

  •  Optimal Performance: You can’t build a business with the tools of the past
  •  Protect What You’ve Built: The safest move is always moving forward
  •  Prosper into the Future: Small steps today, big successes tomorrow
  •  Always Moving Forward

We like that last one “Always Moving Forward”.  Do not dwell in the past but always learn from the past.  If something did not work in the past learn from it and apply parts, some, or very little in the future.  Never sit and wait keep moving and never give up.

To finish up we like this last paragraph from the article.

”Growth doesn’t come from standing still. Our experiences show that the strongest businesses know that optimization and protecting what you’ve built will help you prepare for the future you’ve always imagined.”

So, if you feel you need help reach out to other that might have the knowledge to help.  They may not even be in the industry you are currently in.
