Headset hanger

We needed an easy place to store our phone headsets and a good place to charge them.   Bob re engineered   a bracket that is used to go over a door and hold towels.   He was able to use existing screws to place the bracket within easy reach of the driver. The bracket holds both of our headsets as well as the CB Mic.

Hanging wire basket

We wanted to expand our pantry space and while wandering through Lowes we saw these great heavy duty wire baskets.    Bob once again used his ingenuity to create a hanger bracket to hold the basket in the air.   I lined the basket with no skid shelf lining which helps with rattling.    The basket is perfect for holding canned goods and it is easy to pull the basket out and find the right can.

Another Expediter told me about these covered ice cube trays.   One of the things I miss in the truck is not having an icemaker.   I know some trucks out here have icemakers but we do not.   I have never wanted to make ice as it would make a mess if we moved before the ice had formed.   Thanks to Shelly for telling me about the covered ice cube trays and that I could find them at Bed Bath and beyond.

I also use the ice to make smoothies, which Shelly also told me about.   I have been making fruit or vegetable smoothies.    I found a blender that will allow me to make one smoothie at a time.   I like this as I do not like the same kind of smoothies Bob does.   The cleanup is also super easy this way.

We are always looking for new and ingenious ideas we can use to make our lives easier while out here on the road.   I am often amazed when talking to other drivers on how they have solved their storage problems.
