We called Expedite Serviced about running one of their trucks while ours is in the shop and there answer was a resounding “ No Problem”.   We called at a lucky time for us as almost all of their trucks are full and the truck closest to us was a brand new Cascadia, which is very similar to ours.

We were attending classes in Akron, OH and we picked up the truck on our way home and had the QualComm and signs put on the truck.   We are running with only the FedEx DOT number and small sleeper signs for the time being. While the QC was being installed we stopped by our truck to gather necessary items out of our truck.

The Expedite Services Cascadia has an OEM sleeper on it, which reminds me of our old US Xpress days, and I had no problems finding a cubbyhole for everything.   The move in went quick and we accepted our first load as drivers and off we went!

First thing we learned about Expedite Services is that they are there if we need them and if not needed they are invisible!   What a relief to us, we know the system; we do not need guidance on picking our next load or where to go after we unload our freight.   We are somewhat of an anomaly to them and their system, but they are flexible enough to handle this unusual arraignment.

I am back to cooking in bed which will be my next blog…. Nope it will not be a rated blog!
