Hurry Up and Wait

LOTS of paperwork!   Some of these loads require a huge tree to be turned into paperwork.   We were recently on one of these loads and after our truck was sealed the shipper decided to add another piece to the shipment.   That is when the fun begins as the seal has to be cut and a new seal placed on the truck. Sounds simple right?   Nope, there has to be a paper trail of why the seal was cut and then what new seal was put back on the truck.   New paperwork has to print that explains why the original paperwork was amended.   This can take hours not just minutes and why patience is the name of the game.   Once the paperwork is printed, the new seal put on the truck, departure calls made,  and we can once again be back on the road headed for our destination!
