Happy Birthday Bob!

Bob has celebrated his birthday many ways while on the road.   We have been in Canada, delivering a load, or waiting for a load.   Sometimes we do something special for his birthday on the right day and other times we wait and do something special when we have time.   We usually do not get too carried away with birthdays or our anniversary.   We feel as if we need to treat each other the same every day of the year as each day we have is special.   If we are home I usually try to talk one of my girls into baking a cake as they have a lot more patience with this than I do.   They have even volunteered to make their own cake as I often forget I am baking and I go outside and forget all about kitchen duties and the next thing you know the oven is emitting smoke.   We do not often give each other gifts unless it is under the pretense of giving the other a gift that is really meant for the giver.   We both laugh over this practice and we get what we want that way.

 

It is kind of fun to look back over the years and think of all of the birthdays we have celebrated together and how many more we have to look forward to!
