A Groupon is a deal-of-the-day web site and is located in most large cities in the United States and Canada. There is no cost to join and whenever we are in a large city I will often browse through that cities Groupon’s to see if there is anything we can use.
We were first introduced to the Groupon website last year in the Saint Louis area and before long I lost interest. The Groupon’s were mostly for Spa days or restaurants we were not interesting in. Our youngest daughter lives in Las Vegas and we have found many Groupon’s in the area that we have purchased.
When I see a Groupon I am interested in I check out the fine print to see when the Groupon will expire and if there is a long advance notice required before participating in the activity. Once I have checked out the fine print and everything looks good I purchase the Groupon. I have the Groupon App on my phone and when we use the Groupon the business can look at my phone and get the bar code. This way I do not need to print the Groupon and the Groupon is always at my fingertips ready to be used. I can also look at the Groupon and call ahead to the business and set up our appointment if needed.
Our rides
We just used our Groupon for Adrenaline ATV Tours – Las Vegas and have purchased another pair to be used before June of this year. The Groupon was for $85.00, which is half price of their market value. There is plenty of room to park a truck at their facilities, near their facilities, or they will pick you up and take you back to Las Vegas.
We drove out to the “Ranch†and met with our tour guide Oscar, who proceeded to talk to us about the ATV’s, safety, what the trail would be like, and what to expect on the trail through Red Rock Canyon north of Las Vegas. We rode for about three hours and it was a blast. Oscar quickly figured out our skill level and he proceeded to lead us down the trail at a brisk pace.
We enjoyed the view as well
as the challenge of riding the ATV’s in the desert over sand and rocky
terrain.
We had several pit stops to
look at the scenery and also to drink water.
After our tour we had a nice picnic lunch and we were on our way back to
town.
The next day all of us were a little
sore from the exertion, BUT all of us could not say enough about the fun we
had.

We have also purchased Groupon's for Drifting, which is just down the street from the Petro in Las Vegas. We go drifting just about every time we go to Las Vegas whether we have a Groupon or not.
