Glad to be in Expediting
Our youngest daughter who is a Captain in the Air Force has an overbite that started causing her health problems. Over time she has had many sinus infections and has had a couple sinus surgeries. She has also started having migraines that has affected her lifestyle.
In 2010 she started wearing braces in anticipation of having jaw surgery. She had to have a couple of teeth pulled and then have her teeth pulled in to place to fit having her bottom jaw pulled forward. Through all of her doctor appointments she kept us apprised of the estimated date of the actual surgery.
When the date was set for surgery we made plans for me to stay with her for a week and then our other daughter fly in and stay with her for a week. Bob would be there for the surgery and then go into service as a solo for the week and take loads staying close to Las Vegas.
Everything came off as planned we were able to go with Brandy to her doctors visits before surgery. We also went to the store with her to pickup food that can be blended or puréed for her. It was over whelming to go through the store and think of food that would blend well and also look appetizing.
The doctor thought she would have to wire Brandy’s jaw shut as she was moving the bottom jaw forward so far, but she was in for a surprise as all went well and she was able to use rubber bands. This was great as Brandy can open her mouth wider and not have to use a straw for everything. She cannot chew at all for the next six weeks and then another six weeks of soft foods before starting to chew solid foods again.
Brandy did fine through the surgery and she has done great after the surgery. She has not had as much swelling as they expected and no bruising. She still needs help making sure she takes all of her medicine and just being there for her.
Due to the nature of our business we are able to be with
family when needed in any part of the country.
It meant a lot to us and also to Brandy that she could depend on us to
be there for her in her time of need.
