When I put in our coordinates, I found that there were two hidden caches within a half mile.  There are not many sidewalks or paths next to the road around the Flying J.  One of the caches was on the Flying J property and was in a high “muggle” traveled area and we had to use stealth to retrieve this one.  I took a picture of what a micro cache can look like, which proves why they are difficult to find.

The caches can be very imaginative and some are just placed our of site and we stumble upon them.  The idea when hiding a cache is that the cache is hidden well enough that unless we were looking for the cache we would not find it.  Some of the caches are hidden in ammo boxes and than some are as small as the micro in this picture.  We have seen caches that have bark glued to the tube.  We have seen bolts hollowed out and then set back into the hole.  People have found the neatest way to hide their caches.

The small micro cache is Bob's hand has a very small rolled up piece of paper inside that is usually signed by the finder.  When I go back online I will go to the geocache website and log that we found the cache.  Online we can log if the cache needs some maintenance such as the log being wet or torn.

We have found this to be a fun hobby to get involved!
