We appreciate the location of the Rodgers TA and the close proximity of shops, theaters and walking trails.   We are able to see and do many things and not move the truck so we get that ever important 34 hour restart to our logs.   We were able to hike on over to the theater and see Iron Man 2 which we both enjoyed.   There is Cabalas within walking distance so we spent a little time browsing the store and purchased two new lawn chairs for the truck.   We took our lives in our own hands and crossed the big street to Target and while over on that side of the street tried out the local Applebee’s.   We tried out another local restaurant while there, Maynard’s, and we would highly recommend the trek north from the TA to this one.  The menu has many interesting meal choices and a few really good choices of low cal meals.   We will try this restaurant out again next time we are in the area.   The weather finally turned to sunny and calm so we were able to get our bikes out.   Just north of the TA between the theater and the apartments there is a sports complex with some very well maintained walking/biking trails.   We rode on the trails then followed the trails through a nice housing sub division.   I always enjoy looking at how innovative people are with their houses and yards.   This subdivision seems to have a lot of people very talented with decks and many of them fascinated me.   Someday we will also have an awesome deck on our house.   I am always surprised at what I find around truckstops when I take the time to get out and explore.
