That question led to a really great friendship that had progressed to him bringing his family to our house to spend a few days.   Vince at that time was a very young looking 28 and he has since told us a funny story.   He was picking up a load in Canada and when he went in to get his paperwork they refused to give it to him.   The desk clerk told him to go out and get his dad and he could not sign the BOL’s.   He had to show her his driver license before they would give him his paperwork.   Since then he has aged some, but he still looks like a kid.   Vince is one of those once in a lifetime friends who has a great personality, he is very smart, knows the business side of trucking, and is always an inspiration to us to keep crunching our numbers.   Vince has since left FedEx Custom Critical and now has his own authority and is doing very well.   We always feel very enriched when we run into Vince out on the road or when we are at home and he is able to stop by.   He trades financial information with me and Bob shows him tips and tricks to keep his truck running out on the road.   You just never know how a chance comment can have a very positive effect on your life.
