We are staying out for a couple more weeks before heading home for a much needed break.   We were up in the northwest and figured that is where we would spend Easter until an amazing load came across our QualComm, which gave us the opportunity to spend the weekend with our youngest daughter.

We were hoping that we would be able to leave our truck in a safe place but that was not in the cards.   We then adapted to our new situation and we found out how versatile we could be with our Caffcadia as the backdrop for our holiday weekend! I have heard the saying that there is not enough room in the kitchen for two women, but I am here to say there was enough room in the truck for two women to prepare several feasts for the weekend!

Brandy and I left Bob with the truck and attended a farmers market and followed up with the grocery store and then back to the truck.   We set up the lift gate for our picnic table, grabbed the lawn chairs, and we got out our corn hole game and the weekend began.   Brandy is a vegetarian and we found a great assortment of vegetables and then decided to try our luck at a banana cream pie.

We also knew of friends who were in town for the weekend and we invited them to join our picnic.   This was their first holiday on the road and I think they had as much fun as we did! The lift gate makes an awesome counter top to chop and prepare a meal on and also a great grilling a platform.   We then lowered the lift gate and it became our table.

We had one of those great weekends in trucking and because we went with the flow we had a great weekend!
