The weather was perfect on day two!   We spent the morning wandering around the parking lot talking with people who had just pulled in and then the fun began!   Three carloads of us were off to the go-kart races.  We had a blast and had a big enough group we were the only ones on the track.

We came back just in time to watch a few more of our friends pull in who were greatly disappointed that they missed the go karts!   So we loaded up and two more cars when back to the go-kart track.   Once again it was a blast BUT by this time we were dirty and I had a business casual event to attend in the evening.

I learned something new about how little water it takes to wash my hair!   I grabbed a towel and my shampoo while Rick Ash grabbed a half-gallon of water and we headed for the grass.   He poured the water on and I scrubbed away.   It worked perfect and we were all amazed at how little water it took.   A pretty big group of us all decided in a pinch that was the way to go.

Next came the good old sponge bath inside the truck and before long I was as clean as I was going to be. I donned my business suit and back to the convention center I went to attend the unveiling of the Navistar booth.   I joined the milling thong of businessmen and women that consisted of dealer and journalists.

The event focused on the future of CNG or Natural Gas in our future and how Navistar is preparing.   They had an impressive panel of speakers that included BP CEO and President T Boone Pickens who I have long been interested in - Moderator Jim Hebe, Chesapeake Energy - Tom Price JR, Chairmen, President and CEO of Navistar - Daniel Ustian -Clean Energy Andrew Littlefair - Pilot Flying J Travel Centers Jimmy Haslam.   These guys spoke for and hour and a half and they were captivating.

Next they opened the curtains to their booth that had been kept in secrecy since the beginning of the week and we were all allowed to wander around.   I enjoyed looking at their display of military vehicles and the vehicles they had brought depicting their long history.

Phyllis Cochran, president of Navistar Parts who is a fellow member of the Women In Trucking board, invited me.
