Customer Service

As time goes by we keep weeding out businesses with bad customer service and instead choose to go with companies where we feel valued.   The first area that stands out is when we call a business and the phone is answered with “Hello, Linda how are you today?”   That gets me every time and sets the tone for the rest of the call.   I feel value just by the person answering the phone with my name.   Two of these businesses stand out in my mind one is Progressive Insurance or (CIS) and the other is On Time Media.

We have a couple places where we have had our trucks worked on in the past and we are loyal to these businesses.  One of these is Craftsman in Saint Louis; they have done a lot of work for us from manufacturing panels, installing our lift gate, and adding our toolboxes.   They are amazing at listening to Bob and creating what he imagines.   Another is Clark Power Service which is where we take our truck for engine and transmission service work.    On our old truck we had an intermittent problem with the motor and they worked with Bob to drill down to the exact problem and were able to fix it.

Another business is OnSpot and it is a pleasure to work with the shop in North Vernon, IN.   When we first started looking at automatic chains in 2005 they proved what type of company they were.   When we started talking to them about the chains we sent in our specs, they came back asking for pictures and measurements.   They still were not sure that they could get the chains to work correctly so while attending a truck show they came out to our truck and measured and decided that they still could not get the chains to work correctly.   When we purchased our new truck they once again went to work to get the chains to work and this time the starts and the engineers aligned and we have OnSpot chains .   We have had questions on how to use the chains properly and they are always helpful and have suggestions.   I appreciate that they were not wanted a sale they wanted their product to work perfectly.

AirTabs is another business that we enjoy working with.   Once we purchased the AirTabs that is basically the end of it as the product works, stays on the truck and they become part of the truck.   Jack and his crew though always are glad to see us and even though we will not buy AirTabs again for a while we are still treated like a valued customer.

Another business is OPS1 and they are always willing to help with an oil sample or any other questions we might have on the system.   Bob has installed both of our OPS1 systems and they were right there waiting to assist him if he had needed it.

There are other businesses but these are at the top of our list.
