It's a Team's Life

Confused

It is kind of boring and does not pay well to wake up in the same place two mornings in a row.   It takes a little time to adjust to waking up in a bed that is not moving and also to get back into the central time zone.   The first few days I find myself wanting to go to bed when the sun sets and get up early in the morning much before everyone else.

It is nice to get up early at home as I do not have to go outside to get to the bathroom and another cup of coffee is just one room away.   What is not nice is I have to do my own dishes and clear the table!   I really enjoy being able to use my own washer and dryer and the opportunity to do something else while my clothes are washing or drying.   The other thing I enjoy is ironing!   I know many people do not enjoy ironing which I really do not either; I like the way my shirts look ironing including my t-shirts.

It is also nice first thing in the morning to look outside at all of our trees and not hear any engines running.   It is very peaceful at our house as we live in the country and the most I hear in the morning is chickens crowing or a steer lowing.  

I am sure I will settle in quickly and will get used to waking up in the same place each morning and I will get up at a more normal time which is usually after five in the morning.   I will still go to bed before everyone else as they are all night owls!  

It is awesome to take these mini vacations away from the truck and remember how the other half live!
