Cell Phone Internet Service

I have always traveled with my computer and with US Xpress Bob built a hanging shelf using the upper bunk to house my printer and scanner.   One of my favorite memories was trying to get home and the power was out in Oklahoma City, which was our home terminal.   In order to go home we had to have our paperwork completed, signed, and copied.   The office could not copy and were not going to release us to go home.   I took the paperwork out to the truck copied it and we were finally released for home time.   I found it funny that our mobile office was more efficient then their stationary office.

Our first cell phone was Sprint and our internet service is a Sprint Overdrive and we also have AT&T which might go by the wayside now that Sprint has an I-Phone.   It has been a long journey to get to mobile Internet and I think I still have a long ways to go, as I am not totally happy with this setup.   Overall I believe we have good service and it is not often that I cannot connect to the Internet.

We have to many devices in the truck and most of them use Internet.   Bob has a Blackberry, I have an I-Phone, Bob has an I-Pad and I have my Mac.   We have a wireless printer scanner and also a Windows laptop that we use for two applications.   Our Rand McNally GPS is also Internet capable, which we use sometimes.

What I struggle with now is going over on my usage each month with all of these devices.   Through a series of unfortunate events I lost my unlimited downloads with Sprint and that has really put a crimp in my style.   I am still looking for a better solution.

Both of our phones are unlimited talk and also unlimited texting, which we found out the hard way, we really need. I went over by a few hundred dollars one month and we have found it is much cheaper and less stress to have unlimited and talk as much as we want.

I wonder often in another ten years what the mobile office will look like?
