Cascadia Fuel update

To date our fuel mileage is 10.815 and with our last DEF fill up we averaged 610 miles per gallon.

The auxiliary fuel tank was added on July 13th and since that point in time we have not filled our fuel tanks with less then eleven miles to the gallon and our best being 11.858.   Due to the heavy weight of this truck and sleeper combination we have to run our pusher axle down most of the time when loaded. Running the pusher axle down has had little impact on our fuel mileage.

Our last fill up with DEF we were able to obtain 610 miles per gallon and as our fuel mileage climbs our DEF usage goes down.   We have not had to do a passive regen, which is due to the fact the truck never idles.   When we stop at a shipper, receiver, get fuel, and pull into a parking space the motor is shut off.

Our oil consumption has been ZERO and we are almost due for our first oil change at 50,000 and will be changing to Mobil Delvac 15/40 synthetic blend.

We are finally getting used to the quietness of the truck, the sound or lack of sound from the motor and feeling as if we are climbing a mountain when getting into the Cascadia.   To say we are pleased with the trucks performance would be an understatement.   Each time we walk to our truck in the parking lot we are thrilled and the many comments we get about our Cascadia are awesome.   The truck is slowly becoming a total picture and we will continue to make it even prettier and more aerodynamic.
