Bob gives in...
This last time home Bob finally said the words “I
want my
own computer!†Wow, was that a surprise to me as I usually do all of his
typing
and reply to posts he wants to reply to.
His main use of the computer will be to research on the web and to
have
an email address. His needs are simple
so we just needed to find what will work best for him. He
does not like to type and has problems
with small keys so that was a concern.
We looked at netbooks and the IPAD. Bob
liked the ability of the IPAD to make the
screen larger for ease of reading. He
finally decided on the IPAD and my next objective was to figure out how
to get
him on the net. We use a Sprint wireless
card and I needed to get a Sprint WiFi setup for the truck. Setting
up the WiFi was easy and we both now
can use the internet at the same time.
So far it appears as if the IPAD and Bob are going to get along
very
well.
