It's a Team's Life

Been a good year so far!

 

We have stayed exceptionally busy this year with different organizations we belong to.   We have attended many more truck shows than we have in the past.   The truck shows have been fun and we have learned something from every one of them. This though cannot continue as it cuts into our revenue to much.   We have two more truck shows this year and then we are done until March of next year and the Mid America Truck Show in Louisville.  

What has amazed me and what has allowed us to attend these truck shows is that our income is up 24% from last year.   Our income per mile is up and we have ran more miles since last year.   I am constantly watching our numbers and work on ways to cut our overhead.   I just recently changed our truck insurance and was amazed at the savings.   I have stayed on top of our insurance by cutting the value of the truck as it goes down.   If we were to total the truck the insurance will only pay what the truck is worth not what we say the value is.   I keep on top of this by talking to the dealer we bought the truck from and getting updates on the trucks value.   We also watch our fuel mileage very carefully and keep that one of our priorities at all times.   We have not had a truck payment for the past three years as that was my number one priority was to get rid of that.   Interest to me is anathema and causes me to lose sleep.  

I am hoping we can finish this year as strong as it has started and next year will be even better yet!
