Another valuable aid

We do not have hood-mounted mirrors and do not miss them due to having our fender-mounted camera.   This camera is angled so that we do not have a blind spot on our passenger side.   The Cascadia is much taller than our older truck and it has a larger blind spot when only using the mirrors.   The combination of the mirror as well as the cameras eliminates not seeing small compact cars.

One of our cameras is for backing which is helpful when getting into docks.   Some of the docks we back into have lines painted on the concrete that go to the outside of the docks and we need to stay about a foot inside of these lines.   Some docks have lines that we need to follow with the outside of the tire which will place us in the perfect position for the dock place to go inside the back of the truck.   Others have one straight line and one the veers off in an odd direction.   Some have nothing, BUT have very ugly edges on the dock door that can damage the side of the box.   The backing camera does not care about lines drawn on the ground and we find this camera to be a great tool to get us into the docks perfect every time.

We have two cameras inside our box that we can monitor to make sure the freight is secure and nothing has moved.   We do not use these cameras as much as we do the other two.   When we are being loaded these cameras are on so that the person inside the truck can monitor how the freight is being loaded.   We have a light inside the box of the truck that we can turn on from inside the cab, which helps a lot at night when we want to check our freight and the doors are sealed.
