Air Fryer - Microwave - Convection Oven
My first experiment with an Air Fryer was a stand-alone unit that was very large. When I decided to add the unit to the truck, I found it was too big to fit through the doors of the cabinets in our ARI Sleeper. At that time, I replaced the first Air Fryer with a second smaller Air Fryer that would fit in the cabinets. This unit worked very well for me, even though it was rather small.Â
In past years we have had convection ovens that frustrated me with the need to use the manual whenever I wanted to use the convection oven. Over time I gave up using the convection oven and did not want another one.Â
Another truck driver posted about their new Air Fryer/Convection Over/Microwave that interested me. I asked several questions about the oven, and once Bob looked up the dimensions and power needed, we started looking for one. We found the Galanz at Walmart for less than $125.00, and Bob removed our microwave in the truck and replaced it with the Galanz in 2020. Â
A year later, I use all of the features of the Galanz almost daily as they are straightforward to use. I do not think the air fryer selection works as fast as the stand-alone air fryer, but I can cook more things at once if needed. The other problem with air frying in the Galanz is frying bacon as the drippings drop onto the microwave’s glass plate and make one heck of a mess. I have baked several items in the convection oven and like how easy it works, and this feature does not seem to heat the truck.Â
Overall we are pleased with the Galanze and have spec’d one for our next truck.Â
