Now that we have traversed the country and have watched each season as it happens I am still amazed.   I cannot say which season is my favorite as each season has its own personality.

I like the fall, watching the richly colored leaves as they rustle and blow around.   I enjoy being outside in the fall and listening to the breeze as it whistles through the trees.   The leaves that fall to the ground are a masterpiece of shapes and the colors.   I enjoy fall colors the most as I relish the deep oranges, reds, purples and greens.   The hillsides in Virginia are enough to make me believe there is a smile in the air.

Once winter comes along and there is nothing as beautiful as, huge snowflakes gently falling to the earth.   I enjoy the winter playgrounds!   I like spending time outside in the winter all bundled up and feeling the crisp air on my face.   Winter has tons of great activities such as sledding, skiing, and hiking. Then, I come inside and have a great, winter meal such as chili and watch the snow fall.   When no one is looking, I still enjoy flopping to the ground and making a snow angle.   Winter is smiling when we are out on a clear crisp night and there is millions and millions of stars in the sky that seem  close enough to reach up and grab.

Then along comes spring and the site of the trees getting new leaves and flowers is spectacular.  There is great enjoyment watching the flowers bloom and the stalks coming through the ground.   The smell of spring is fantastic and my nose works over time.   What an awesome time of year to renew all of our hopes and dreams.   Springs storms are the best with all of the lightning and thunder as a huge show is played out right in front of our eyes.   The rainbow after such a storm is another smile in the air.

Summer is a time to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.   The heat in Missouri is much different from Kansas and Arizona, which has taken some getting used to.   We have lots and lots of trees where we live and it is nice in the summer to get out on the ATV and ride around through the trees.   Summer brings lots of activities and a time to relax and not worry about driving in adverse weather.   Watching the sun come up in the morning and break through the trees is a great smile starting the day.

Driving a truck and getting to see all the areas of the country through the different seasons is something we will never take for granted.   I enjoy looking around and seeing a smile in the air!
