Every once in awhile I have came outside and looked for our truck and I thought it was gone and my heart stops.   When we go for a day trip or are even just gone from the area the truck is in for a couple of hours my heart races until I see the truck is safe and sound right where we left it.   I do not think if I live to be 100 I will ever get over the fear that our vehicle might be stolen.    When we leave our truck we pull the curtains to look as if someone is asleep in the truck.   We leave one huge clue though that we are not in the truck as Molly sits in the front seat and looks for us to come back.   We sometimes put up our blinds over all of the windows but do not like to cover the windows to often as Molly has a pitiful howl when she cannot watch.

We have purchased a steering lock that is placed under the hood in the steering knuckle.   This prevents the steering wheel from being turned.   With the hood closed a thief would have no idea the lock was in place. The lock is very easy to install. The lock cannot be cut off and we feel as if this additional security item will have thieves looking for a much easier truck to steal. The lock is pretty impressive. You cannot remove the key from the lock until the lock is locked.   The key is a special order key and must be ordered with the security number from the company that produced the lock.

Our truck is how we make our living and we do everything we can to keep our truck safe and sound.
