Fuel for Thought
Who turned on the hydrant?
I’ve written a couple articles in my head during the last couple weeks. Those stories have come and gone, because all I’ve had time for is driving, sleeping and eating. So far this month, contrary to end of month, end of quarter principles, I’ve had ten loads for almost 4,000 miles. The miles were mostly contained within a triangle bounded by Wisconsin, Eastern Tennessee, and Houston, Texas. I’m getting a break right now, because I’m already dedicated to a load that doesn’t pick up until tomorrow morning. The highlights were a three hour turnaround between delivery and next load in the expedite desert, Houston, and the fuel prices in Texas and Missouri. The $3.16 for diesel was in St. Louis, Missouri.
