Underbody
The undercoat on the Sprinter has held up really well. The entire underside of the vehicle is coated with a yellowish, waxy, self-healing coating. The one point to pay particular attention to is the body seam in the rear wheel wells. I didn't get on mine soon enough, and once it starts rusting, it's hard to get back ahead of. Rust will work its way and break through the seam on the inside of the van where the wheelwell meets the wall. I've been using a cosmoline type sealer that is self-healing, but it is a little light weight for the job. The places I've used a regular, rubber undercoat paint have held up, but I still would prefer the self-healing type. If I run a across something better, like the OEM coating, I'll post it.
