The Weekend Report

The flow kept going the rest of the week. 1400 miles isn’t something to write home about, but in combination with the previous couple weeks, it makes a strong October.

Rock Hill, South Carolina. Rock Hill looks like a good place to spend a weekend. There is a Walmart, Target and Publix. A couple truck stops within a five mile circle. Library, park and several laundromats to choose from. And most importantly, there is lots of manufacturing over a wide area for freight.

WilcoHess. I like the WilcoHess chain of fuel stops. They are the most likely to have a higher cetane rating for their fuel. I began to worry a couple years ago when one of their locations was listed as the last new gas station that they would build. Piper 1 also noticed that some of their fuel receipts were printed under the Pilot banner. Now I see on their web site that Speedway, a Marathon susidiary, bought the chain, and that we will be seeing the Speedway name speading into the Southeast. Oh well.
