I thought about making something like this and then I found this little gadget at Northern Tool and Equipment for $8. The Loc-Link is two e-track single receivers welded together, so two e-track clips can clip together resulting in longer straps or a looped strap. My primary need is the looped strap configuration, so I can run a strap around a pallet or barrel for tricky, non-standard securement. Also available are weld-on and bolt-on single clip receivers. The Loc-Link and singles are rated at 1000 lbs. working load limit.

Snap-Loc is a specialty cargo securement manufacturer that makes dollies and tie downs. It looks like the e-track single receivers are a byproduct of their dollies that have built in single clips for e-track accessories, but then it could have evolved in reverse of that. I especially like that they are made in the U.S. of A.
