It looks like someone had extra plywood.

Strange occurrence. I arrived at a shipper. It was the typical crossdock configuration of a bazillion back-to-back docks with an office at one end. It was one of the most ship shape crossdocks I’ve seen. I checked in at the dispatch window and was told to wait for the foreman. Another van showed up and the driver, appearing familiar with the operation, filled out the sign-in log, slammed his fist on the counter, and bruskly yelled, “Pick-up.” My impression was that this wasn’t an in-your-face kind of operation. A few minutes later a well dressed lady, obviously from the front office, came directly to me and asked if I was there to pick up. She said, “Come with me. I want to make sure the foreman knows you were here first.” Hmm. And I was loaded just like that.

Graham, North Carolina. I had a chance to see Graham, NC and my favorite donut shop, Daily Donuts. I spoke to the owners this time. They said that there are family ties to another donut shop across the highway in Burlington, NC called, NC Jelly Donuts, so that is another one to try in the area.

Tiny Texas Houses. Have I mentioned these guys before? I saw their place in Lulling, Texas as I drove past on I-10 between San Antonio and Houston. I’ve had a chance to study their online material, and it really is the kind of thing I’ve played been playing around with in my head. A lot like over the road vehicle planning. They also have very good videos on YouTube.
