Fuel for Thought
Long And Heavy
It took a deadhead from Dallas to Oklahoma City on Monday evening for freight back to the middle of expedite civilization, Lima, Ohio. Twelve pounds less than a max load and twenty hours of rain. I had my fill of winter. Now I’ve had my fill of spring. The photo shows how low the suspension rides at a max load. I repeatedly note what a max load looks like, because I feel legal weights and slow speeds have helped the van survive this long.
I was dispatched on my next load as I was getting out of bed Wednesday morning. And this afternoon (Thursday) I had a chance for my first sitdown meal since Monday lunch. I had a Sam’s Club pizza slice.
