I've Been Exposed
Janet Jackson? William Clinton? Bernie Madoff? While each of these were exposed for different reasons, this year, exposed has taken a whole new meaning.
In years past, if someone was said to be exposed, the first question was “what did they do?” Now, in 2020, exposed is generally used to refer to people exposed to COVID-19. In just a few short months we have been so engrossed in the pandemic that just the mention of being exposed can cause people to stop and react. Countless times this year I have been asked if I have been exposed to the virus. Or exposed to anyone with the virus. Or exposed to anyone showing symptoms of the virus. Or exposed to anyone who tested positive to the virus.
Well, I am here to tell you today, in 2020, that I have been exposed.

.
.
I have been exposed to sunshine.
I have been exposed to rain.
I have been exposed to open roads.
I have been exposed to rush hour traffic.
I have been exposed to supply shortages.
I have been exposed to wildfires.
I have been exposed to the effects of hurricane weather.
I have been exposed to blowing winds.
I have been exposed to kindness.
I have been exposed to compassion.
I have been exposed to thankful people.
I have been exposed to thankless people.
I have been exposed to giving.
I have been exposed to receiving.
I have been exposed to happiness.
I have been exposed to sadness.
I have been exposed to triumph.
I have been exposed to defeat.
I have been exposed to avarice.
I have been exposed to generosity.
I have been exposed to many things this year, and while I know that the next time I am asked if I have been exposed, I can still answer their question with a resounding “NO”. For their questions will be the same each time and none will ask if I have been exposed to anything else.
See you down the road,
Greg
