I Met The Neighbors
The long weekend left me near the house, so I checked in to see how things looked. What looks like a forest floor is my new backyard. It’s rough enough and small enough that I can get by with just a swing blade to keep the green hacked back. Milling around gave me a chance to meet some of the neighborhood kids. I’ve learned who found the broken window in the back of the house when it was vacant. I learned that the cousin likes to hangout on the roof of my house, because he can access it by climbing one of the trees. And I know who torn off one of the window screens and threw a brick onto the roof over the weekend. Now I’m researching surveillance cameras. There are a couple camera systems that record locally and will email me when the camera senses movement if it has an internet connection. T-Mobile has a data plan for only $10 a month that should be able to support a mobile hotspot for the camera. I’m also going to put word out through my new friends that if anything happens to my house, I’m going to have the police use the telephone data center’s surveillance system (which overlooks my property) to see who has been around my house. This should be a fun project.
