Hump Day

Five hundred miles short of 650,000 miles. Wednesday is hump day of the engine replacement. Old engine is out, and new engine is ready to go in.

Downtime is giving me a chance to play around with the blogging software from WordPress.org. I've had a few domains laying around gathering dust, and I've discovered WordPress makes a good foundation for self-published websites and blogs. Through HostGator, I can control an entire website (or many) hosted on their servers. I even installed a forum as part of my account to see what kind of things Expediters Online has to deal with at their forums. In one respect, it is amazing how simple it is to control an incredible number of options, and at the same time it can so easily become crazy-huge and complicated. Besides online, self-promotion of my own stuff, the current project is to set up a personal, closed social site free of prying eyes.
