Get Right or Get Out

Deciding to run a business is not an easy thing to do. Well, the decision might be easy, but then comes the execution of your plans. Deciding to run a trucking business immediately requires you to choose between company driver, owner operator with your own authority and owner operator leased to a carrier. Should you choose the latter, your decisions on how you run your business can also affect all the other owner operators at that carrier. Since everyone runs under the authority of the carrier, your decisions to run "under the radar" or if you try to "bend" the rules and regulations for your own gains, puts all the others owner operators at risk. It can only take a few bad apples to spoil the bushel. When you sign a lease with a carrier, you agree to certain terms, if you cannot abide by the contract you signed, then go get your own authority, become your own carrier and suffer the consequences of your actions alone. Don't drag everyone down with you.

Have a little self esteem, take pride in your business and do it the best you can. I promise you, you will reap what you sow one day.

See you down the road,
