Fuel for Thought
Freight
A sample of freight that I hauled the last couple months.
An auger.
Machine bench.
Furniture.
Barrels and drums can be tricky to secure. The best easy solution is to scrounge an extra pallet, place it on top of the barrels and strap the barrel sandwich to the floor.
Heating element.
Very long pasta for a fancy restaurant. This tube would have fit in any short cargo van, but the dimesions said otherwise.
Then again I was probably the closest vehicle. One bottle of grease. If I recall correctly, it was an eight ounce bottle.
Auto seat going to a test lab for stress testing. The kind of place with a robotic rearend that sits and raises a hundred times a minute.
Low density packaging.
Display en route to a trade show.
Transmission cases.
One pallet of bottled water. I didn’t ask why this water from several hundred miles away was better than local water. I just delivered it.
