What a shame you feel that way. I can remember when Detroit was a vibrant and fun filled city.
It still is a vibrant and fun filled city.
It just depends on what you call vibrant and fun. If you like you are stepping back into time Berlin May of 1945, then it is a great place to see what it was like with the bombed out buildings (Michigan Central can pass for the Reichstag any day) with a stench of a dead city or if you want to relive the LA gang wars, Detroit is the place for you to see movie like shootings and special effects that are actually not movie special effects OR maybe you want to see inept people trying to actually governor like those politicians of the largest city directly west of us, Chicago but they can't seem to get past the egos and arrogant attitude about the 8 Mile demarcation.
Detroit is a great place, IT IS pure Michigan when you come down to it because what Detroit is like, everything east of Lansing and south of Mt Pleasant is just part of Detroit ... the rest we just don't talk about because it's boring.
