And, Scarlett Johansen is sitting next to you, running her fingers through your hair and telling you how you're the perfect man?

You got to be kidding me, Scarlett who?

No way.....

I am sitting next to an old fart who is snoring and he had the nerve to complain about the drink I ordered.... I didn't say it was a perfect day just better than where I was at.

Atlanta, GA, at shipper, Airport Cargo. Drove 3 hours overnight from Knoxville and no rain at all, at least between 1am-4am. Will be driving to South Carolina later, loaded down.

The wind laid down here last night, not bad today at all. Lake Erie came back. It must not suck in Canada today. Layoutshooter

Setting up my show in Dallas. Opening reception is Saturday, April 4. 1800-2200. Come by if you're in town. It's one of those nice things you can do to get out of the truck for a while. Show will be up all the month of April. I can get you into the gallery during off hours if I'm not on the road. Just drop me a line. I've been blogging my show prep at www.matchboxbook.com.

I dont get it ,do you need to know where everyone is so you can make sure you are doing better than them? You need to make sure your revenue is higher and hope that they are stuck sitting somewhere waiting for the qcomm to beep. Who cares where you are, who cares where I am. You are strange get a hobby or something. I havent had a load offer in 3 days does that get you excited? are you happy now? You guys are a trip.

No, ATM, you DON'T get it - the reason for posting your location is to help us find fellow EO members, if we'd like to visit with them.
I'm sorry that you think otherwise, but would you like to post your location, and unit # just so no one will mistakenly approach you for a chat? :(

Wow!! Touchy touchy!! A bit defensive huh?? 3 days without a load offer, Id be looking at more things then just dispatch, but then again, i have "Adult A-D-D" and sitting drivings me nuts, so I move. BUT, lets see, since monday of this week at 11 am, toledo oh to chicago ill, skokie ill, to shelby township mi, monroe mich to cleve. oh, sandusky oh to robinson ill, now today a little short one to help dispatch out, eveansville ind to oak grove ky.... thats how many , 1 run a day???? Yeap, and while none of them set the world on fire as for miles, but they paid ok, nothing great, but the bills will be paid and i'll do ok... Oh, I forgot one , gary to Yale mich.....again, nothing to break the bank, but not a bad 4 days after being out of service for 2 weeks.....so thats 5 runs in 4 days

As for feelin bad about you not gettin any load offers, well i can honestly say, I am not going to lose any sleep over it, but i also won't be raising a beer to it either...

Forums are to chat wth people that have the same interest. While not everyone agrees with each other , the key is just the communication with others .....if you don't feel the need to chat with us here, that ok, but as Cheri said, why not post where you are and your unit # so everyone can just leave you alone?!?!?

PS: Unless any of you are into the sound and sight of really low flying military aircraft, the "J" on I-24 here in Oak Grove is NOT the place to stay!! Right behind the place is Ft Campbell, home to the 101 air group...there has been more planes landing in the hour or so i have been here then i have seen in a month!! From fighter jets to huge cargo planes (im not good at that stuff but a few were big enough to be B-52 type planes) and a few inbetween sizes....so unless you like that stuff, find another place to stay, I just might head for the "J" on 40 west of Nashville.............

atm: (and others that the shoe fits) Only a blithering idiot would be stuck (somewhere/anywhere) waiting for the qcomm to beep. If you are, a hobby prolly would be better. Three days? without an offer? or, actually running?? There is a difference! I kinda wonder what folks have done to help themselves when they find they're sitting too long?? Are they hazmat qualified, have a liftgate, pallet jack, deck plate, tandem, pads, straps, or jes "don't wanna"? Run Canada, go west of the Mississippi, go to NYC? I dunno, seems suspect to me.

Ban the Van!!!!

That's the sound of freedom, my friend. Embrace it! I live right next to the Alpena airport. I love it when the jets are in town. Free air show! Bob the bulldog, on the other hand, gets totally freaked out. He'll spend a lot of time sitting right next to someone and shaking.

I totally understand what you are saying. As for the air base at alpena, when i was a kid every aug was spent on the "thunder bay river" fishing for pike from McCains launch up there.. i often wonder if the friends we knew that owned land that was within a few hundred yards of the main gate at the air base still live up there... It was a good time each year for alot of years....we are talkin back in the mid to late 60's to early 70's when the airbase was use full time. Those jets flew in over the flood water full bore at times!!!

The base at Alpena was Wershmith (sp?) Air Force Base. They were home to a KC-135 tanker squadron. They supported a B-52 squadron at K.I. Sarywer (SP?) in the U.P. The tankers would sorite first and fly north to be "on station" when the bombers "flushed". When loaded with a full bomb load the B-52 is too heavy to take off with a full fuel load. So they would meet up with the tankers over Lake Supeiror, re-fuel and head out for Moscow and other places that the "bad guys" lived. Layoutshooter
