What is she worth?

I think $1,000 will cover it, including labor. However, if you don't want to take a chance, I would accept an offer that required the air conditioner to be fully functional.

However, there are two others that are hot on buying it. I think I will probably have a purchase offer by Thursday.

A blown AC line will shut me down.
I sweat profusely. I'd sweat when it 's 20 degrees out when I used to work for a living.
I'd rather fix it right while we're working on it.
Fix it and don't look back

Has anyone had these lines "made up" before? I worked in a shop in high school and a little during college and we had almost every failed or rubbed line made up for us. I even remember having an aluminum a/c line with a hole rubbed in it welded back like new. It was always much cheaper than dealer parts. Just a thought.

How about testing the AC for leaks? I haven't seen that you did that yet, so far I just see blind parts replacement. It would save lots of time to see what's leaking first.

If I run to GR to have the Sprinter techs @ K & M look at it, of course they will properly test & diagnose it. I am not going to bother anyone to look at it, or waste a half day or more doing it, unless I'm pulling the trigger on the repair. They have all the parts in stock and the best Sprinter techs in the Midwest. They've just given me their opinion on what its likely to be, and some cost estimates. However, the actual repair could be more or less.

OK!!! Got a deposit today from a younger man who is going to keep her @ Express-1. I had two other cash buyers who would have been excellent too, including Zorry. I tried to be fair and accepted the first CASH I received. I didn't get what I hoped for but negociated for a fair deal all around. :)

You were entirely fair, IMHO, and I bet Zorry will agree. Bidness is bidness... :)
