Okay, I'll bring $8,010.00...

No, Westmicher, if we didn't think your Sprinter was worth buying, we wouldn't be messing about in your thread about it. Truth is, I'll bet, that we all wish we could get our hands on it, but none of us can afford to just buy it as an extra vehicle like we may have in past years.

I know I'd love to see it and what shape it's in...okay, okay, I'll bring $8,020.00...

That's what we need, a Ranch for Retired Expediters, complete with run-around the ranch vehicles that make us feel like we're still exp-o-diting, so we can sit around at night on the porch in our rockers and tell each other what we did for runs that day...

"Yeah, thought I had a load but it cancelled, so I'm still waiting for the call. I been in this parking lot for three days..."

"Had a nice run today with tractor parts from the barn out to the field..."

"Friggin' dispatch, if they knew what we go through out here on this ranch, I'd be a lot happier..."

"You see they let a guy onto the ranch with a yellow cube? This place is going to hell..."

"Hey, I hear westmicher may be selling his '06 Splinter...whaddya think it's worth? I hear he takes care of his ****!"

Way too funny and true..lol..excellent post.

There are a lot of Sprinter pilots in here, maybe someone will send u a PM offer. Many in here love their Sprinters and at 450k miles, there should be a lot of life left to go. Yes they are high to maintain, but they also carry larger volume. 8100 dollar vs 45,000 for a new one would appear a good deal. I use to sell trucks and the love affair of the person selling vs the dealers offer is usually miles apart, its just the way it is. If you put that Sprinter up at an auto auction for sale, you would be disappointed and the auto auctions are where the real world is in the auto business, believe me..For example, that Sprinter in the street may, and may sell for 8100 , but at an auction with 450k miles, maybe 2500 and that would tick u off. Auctions for dealers is way different from selling on the street. Another example, used cars or trucks on the lot would be priced.
at say 10,000 dollars for a ride you want, but the true cost usually 2,000 under selling price, and sometimes 3000 under selling price. Basically what is going on is a love affair with your existing ride you have for sale and we all do it, but reality will set in soon . 450,000 miles in most motorist minds is way beyond their comprehension. For the motoring public, 100k miles is beyond the moon, trust me.........its a game selling used rides...

The 06 is NOT a high priced van to maintain anymore...well not as high as it used to be...a snot loads of after market parts out there...and most repairs you can still use your North American slop bucket mech-nut-nik....

For $14,500 I'll deliver her with a fresh SilverStar Transmission so you'll be assured of many more low cost miles! I think warnings about the engine are from poorly informed. I expect the engine is good for many many more miles.

This truck will make money from day one... all she needs is an owner/operator that will change her fluids properly and drive sensibly. :)

What is she worth???
Forget about the Expedite market and set this truck up for Preppers in a panic or hunters.
Under the raised floor install a gun vault..A camo wrap..Dog cages..Lots of options for a another market if you really want to move the truck..Concealed Gun valuts are easy enought to build on your own and cheap.Vans and Sprinters make great hunting vechiles.
Another plus side of this, Once ya make the conversion ya just may want to keep it.

I appreciate that, and agree with you on the engine; it'll probably go twice what it has on it now without much problem.

If I was even close to being able to afford it, I would seriously consider it.

Hey, sell the new one.
Start building another new one.
Run the 06 until there's no life left in her and you don't mind selling it by the pound.

And then turn it into a reality TV show. Have competitions and have people voted off the ranch

Please make sure you are cooking blizzard's approved low carb diet foods or the carb police will be out there to shut that grill down!

The new truck is almost ready to run her for profit. I am building 2 more right now for a local company. My next new truck will be a new Transit cab/chassis will a 16' inside box.

The 2006 is going on eBay.

Westmicher, I am definitely going to keep an eye on what you're doing with your new build and what you may do in future. I like your style and sensibilities with vehicles. You never know, I could be a customer yet.

I posted in another thread for a new expediter (who is deciding between a Sprinter and regular cargo van) to check out your '06.

Here's hoping you get what it's worth on eBay.

Thanks for letting us mess about in your thread a bit.

Can you post a few pics.
Describe any not obvious add ons .

The free ads here are well worth the price.

Here are a few pics...

The generator swings out of the way in 10 seconds, or you can hook it up to the truck and start it in 20 seconds! I think she still looks good! Second opinions on what I should sell her for???

I would ask for 12 and pray for 7. It only takes one person.

If your new truck is inside at the Expo, have you considered leaving this in the parking lot there ?

Lots of potential buyers.
