..just spent an hour drooling over a new Transit.. lol..
I just saw one yesterday as I drove by the Ford dealer in Port Huron. High Top, not sure on the length, but looked pretty big. Can't say my heart didn't skip a couple of beats when I saw it
Got an email from the insurance guy this morning...check is on its way...I am hoping for the end of the week launch date...been gathering the parts I can afford to get so far..than use the van to pickup the hood and door...and than start the tear down and rebuild process.. I wish this was moving faster than it is, but really not as slow as it could of been..but it sure comes at a bad time. I want this year to be over like right now.
Noooooo, I am hoping Sept to Dec rocks!
Do you call spaghetti sauce "gravy"?It had better or I'm calling in my relative Carmine to get things rolling......lol...Things just need a little "Push", as my relatives would often say while sitting around the kitchen table until the wee hours of the morning when I was supposed to be asleep when I was a kid....

And Christmas is only 128 days away too.....I don't see why things should change now?....we blew thru 2 periods that should have been busy and did squat.......
I am on course to have the worst year since in the USA....7 years now.
always next year.....
This is my worst year while at load one but I really don't think load one has anything to do with it as much as I do think the unstable economy, the cheap freight rate sluts, and the never ending chain of negative events that I have encountered this year so far. My numbers are way down.
I ran into an example that the bidders are STILL bidding cargo van loads at sprinter load rates when quoting my opportunities!!!...We will never win a load board load like that!.....I thought they were instructed otherwise?.....
We determine the company bid strategy based on a NUMBER of factors. It is far more complicated then you may think or some would tell you. With the amount of sprinter turn downs on cargo van rated loads we then have to try and broker them often at a loss. But that is not something that you are probably considering or aware of. We do not attempt to be the cheap carrier and I am not changing the strategy of the company. We have a lot of fleet and customer pressures on us when it comes to pricing. I try and balance the two to the success of the fleet. At the same time remember this....if my van fleet is not having a good year, how does that mean the company does on the van business?
As far as should have been two good quarters....as much as we can all hope (including me) we are not in the should business. This industry is less and less predictable every year.
