Yes, I know, BUT, one congressman in the United States hardly qualities as "World News". Just another idiot politician shooting his mouth off. England has enough of those to keep the BBC busy! Surely there is some "royal" making a fool of them self someone where to report on. There always is! :D

They are short on news stories at the mo LOL

The BBC covers America better than America does. For some reason, the people in England are more concerned with what happens here than we are. And isn't that sad. The only time we see reports of anything going on in England is when there's a riot in the streets, or the police there are stalking a stuffed Bengal tiger in someone's back yard.

It's probably what he meant, but being a politician Akin should know that his pontification and talking "off the cuff " about abortion, would open up a can of worms and create a fire storm for himself.

"Off the cuff"? On a prescheduled televised interview of a candidate running for elected office? Not quite - it's a subject he should have been prepared to discuss.
That's like excusing Mitt Romney's commission of assault and battery [when he got some friends to help him hold down a classmate to cut his hair, because it offended Mitt] as a 'prank'. Not. Good. Enough.

It will be old news in 3 more days and we will be off to another stunt someone does to get headlines, but on that note, Im still waiting for the heads to roll on the sea doo kid that walked thru security at the airport. Did anyone in here solve that problem yet?

"Off the cuff" His words not mine. His words. Go back and read his statement. He said he was talking off the cuff. Your agreeing with me . I said he should know better than to get deep into the weeds and to pontifiacte about abortion. His mistake . Since you brought up Romney. i do agree it wasn't very nice of him to cut that kids hair. Getting back to Akin. I'm sure you would disagree with him about the" legitimate rape" issue.As would I. You probably also agree with Obama's statement that "rape is rape". As would I. Just curious on a side note ,how you feel about Bill Clinton being given a prime time spot and nominating Obama at the Democratic convention?

People who name themselves God will always find a way to justify their actions. Murder is everyone's business. You can't murder someone in your living room--or your womb--and cite privacy.

You can't murder someone in your living room--out your womb--and cite privacy.
No, you can't.

But just because someone calls something "murder" doesn't necessarily make it murder, regardless of how strongly they feel about it. And you can't just go and redefine terms to make them fit your beliefs and wants, whether it's the redefining of "human being", or "infant" or "marriage" or "homophobia". The terms are what they are, like it or not.

So the life of the baby means nothing just some trash to throw out

it is not a baby.....not even a fetus during the 1st trimester....only when you bring religion onto the topic....the science is pretty clear...it is called a zygote.... not capable of life outside the incubator..in this case a woman...
