The cab is really cool looking done of course in the yellow and blue theme. The shifter has an awesome knob and the seats have a 4-point seat belt. I am wondering after Rich has drove the truck for awhile what he thinks of the racing seats? The truck does not have a lift gate on it. The truck does have a chrome ICC bumper. Lots of LED lights and the truck does also have a shiny hiney! You will not miss the truck from the front the sides or following. I am sure Rich has all ready received lots of stares and had the trucks picture taken a million times.

My thoughts are also this; there has been hours and hours spent on putting this truck together and also promoting expediting. The money spent on this is pronominal and the time spent on putting together this project is pronominal. If you cannot say something nice about a give away truck keep it to your self. If you where to win the truck do with it what you want but give the people credit who have spent the time and money. The truck is a Mack not a piece of crap.

Seems to me some of the people ragging on the truck, don't even drive for a living. If you don't like the truck and you happen to win it, I will glady take it off your hands for what you paid for it.

Anytime you put a truck on the road that is out of the ordinary, opinions will be offered pro and con, from a variety of sources, with varying levels of intensity. The negative opinions will matter only to the extent that you allow them to. In the world of custom truck building, the only opinion that matters is the truck owner's.

In this case, the truck is a promotional tool. Controversy can be good because it focuses people's attention on the truck, and thus the messages the truck is designed to promote. Let people say all the bad things about the truck they want. It enhances the intended result.

Sure, some people may think the Speedco truck is ugly. So what? From a marketing perspective, the word "Speedco" is moved further toward the front of the consumer's mind. With that done, Speedco signs and ads get noticed more than they would before. As such brand recognition grows, the chances increase that the truck-ugly opinion holder will become a first-time Speedco customer.

The same holds true for Mack, Alumabunk and ExpeditersOnline.

To be honest. I think the the Mack truck looks pretty Damm good. For a truck that is a 2000 I would have never known. Lawrence and his staff have been working very hard on this project for over a year now. Please don't put down all his hard work. I think we all would love to win this truck. For the few who are thoughtless and make comments like "crap". You reveal your intelligence or better yet a lack of it. We put the project together to promote our industry and to reward a driver – what part of that don’t you get? It’s disheartening when you hear that a few people just don’t get it and are ignorant enough to post it in a public forum.

Our goal is to reward some lucky driver with a SuperTruck. We think the expedited trucking industry offers a great opportunity to owner operators, we think we have great vendors and carriers – and we want to “represent†that fact in the larger, broader trucking industry.

This amazes me. What an awesome truck, and some people see only negatives. These are the people that would complain about all the taxes they'd pay if they won the lottery!
