RE%3A Trick%27d Out Expediter Tour

If I remember correctly the Sleeper had a big speaker in it. a very small bed and no cabinets in it for storage. If I'm wrong pleas correct me. Looked at alot of trucks at Mid America..

The only use for that truck is for show or for sale. I got a chance to look at the inside and no one I know would ever be able to deal with it as a working truck. But it is a sweet truck, I would love to have it to show off, or as a recruitment vehicle. Yes all that was in the sleeper was a big speaker and a little bed.

Let's just hope that the winner of this free truck is grateful for all of the truck's free attributes and can modify the sleeper to suit personal preferences, just like would be done with an "off the shelf" sleeper or truck. You could always replace the big speaker with a small speaker and replace the small bunk with a big bunk. Before long, we'll have a C truck owner complaining that the SpeedCo truck's 24' box is too big.

As a reminder what this is all about, re-read Lawrence's comments in response #15 in this thread.

if it doesn't have an automatic tranny i'm sure there will be some groanin about that. i'd love to have that truck. it would have to sit in the driveway until jan. 08 but i would be out there wiping it down everyday. i think it's a cool looking truck. good job.

I guess next time we should make sure the
FREE

truck is a brand new $200,000 truck, with a 100" sleeper, White Glove specs, and the tanks are topped off.

If you don't like the truck, here's a simple solution...

DON'T ENTER THE CONTEST !!!

Just buy your own!

There are many more folks out here who would LOVE the chance to own their own truck.

I know when I started out, I would have LOVED a sleeper that big... er wait, I would have loved a sleeper at all!

I think it's a cool truck, but you know some people have to down grade things others do to make themselves feel better.

I hope I Win. I like the colors. Then I would give EO the Freightliner truck I did last year to EO to have the guys trick it.

Just for all of you professional truck driving experts that know so much about trucks, I may not have all your experience but I did have a 96 Mack in 96, and it was a piece of crap. I was talking about putting a nice paint job on an older truck. don`t get me wrong, I like the paint on the outside but I don`t think That I could stand the inside for very long, unless I was a big Michigan fan. one of you were right.I am not a driver, I retired two years ago,I started driving in 1959 hauling steel, twelve years before I retired I hauled expedited freight.;)

Well let me chime in.I have been behind the wheel of this truck for 2 weeks now and it has made me a Class 8 convert. It literally purrs along ,has 460 HP and is getting about 10 MPG. An oil analysis was done and the engine is in excellent condition. The transmission took some time to master but now it just floats from gear to gear. I would have no reservations about putting this truck into daily expediting service. So maybe you need to modify the sleeper to the tune of $500,big deal, look what you are getting. Enter at Speedco's , you won't be disappointed if you are the winner.

And this is the guy who's driving it, so he'd know if it'd work or not.

I'm curious though, someone mentioned racing seats, are they comfortable or are they a bit rough?

More telling for those that have been around here for awhile is the fact that Rich said he's a "class 8 convert"

Even more telling, is the fact that after twenty years or so, and running a couple "toy" trucks, with one Carrier, we get a revelation that Class 8 is great. Seems a good share of our "experts" typing here, really have not done that, have not been there, and, there is no T-shirt in their possession.
