I'm trying to be bipartisan, honest - I just haven't found any Dems who are as loony tunes as the conservative side is apparently infested with - anyone else find any? I don't mean those whose political ideas you question, I mean those whose grasp of reality is highly questionable, like the 3 listed here.

Have a look at Barney Frank and how he and Dod totally ignored the housing problem with Freddie and Fannie that led us into this mess. There is absolutely NO difference. Both parties are criminal. Both have their share of liars, murders, womanizers, *****s, drunks and dopers. Just look at the Kennedy's and Jackson.

The congress is a den of nasty thugs. The president is not better, no matter which one is in next time.

OH, like that fact that high taxes and bad loans kill economies? Dems do a GREAT job of ignoring those realities. They, and the Republicans, believe that one can borrow their way to prosperity. How stupid is that? How stupid can a person be to run up 25% of the TOTAL debt of the United States, since 1776, in three years? Must be a rocket scientist came up with that one.

No, high taxes and bad loans caused this. Higher taxes WILL make it worse. That IS a reality. The less of my money I have, the less I can do. I am FAR more able to create jobs than the government is. PROOF of that.

I just bought a boat, from a company name of PolarKraft. The boat and trailer were built in Elkhard, IN. I am very sure that IF you were to call those people who had REAL employment and talk nice to them, they would agree that it would have been MUCH better if the government have raised my taxes to provide for them when they got put OUT of work when no one can afford to buy their products.

Marxism, socialism, SUCK. Under the Constitution I have an ABSOLUTE RIGHT to own private property, that INCLUDES the bulk of my wages. With total tax liability of wage earners in our bracket reaching 50-60% the time is close when normal business activity will shut down.

NO one FORCED anyone to buy a bad loan. I had an ARM, did REAL well with it. I am no economic wiz kids either. The resources to do it right were there when I looked, it was available for those who CHOSE to be stupid. NOW, because of the high tax rates, bad loans and very poor public policy, millions of people who did it right are now upside down in a home we can no longer sell.

The government IS the cause of the problem and will NEVER be the solution. UNLESS, they get the heck out of the way!

As for revenue vs spending, if the revenue hadn't dropped [lost jobs & taxes] the spending wouldn't be such a problem. And the conservatives don't object to spending sprees for 'defense', or subsidies for oil [and a few others], or the same cuts that didn't create any jobs the last time.....

Cheri, we have been outspending our revenue for DECADES. It just finally caught up. That is the facts of life. There has been zero financial responsibility in Washington since Andrew Jackson was president. IF I remember correctly that was the last time the the United States had no debt, or very little. He paid of the debt in 1835. Facts be facts.

What oil subsidies? There ARE actual subsidies for wind turbines, solar panels, and other things that don't work. Show me where tax dollars have been taken from taxpayer and given to an oil company. As to tax 'breaks' , the US has either the highest or close to the highest, corporate tax rate IN THE WORLD. Any wonder we are losing business?

And the bum in the White House want to RAISE them! What a PUTZ!

Keep in mind, IF we ELIMINATED the Defense Department, which IS required by the Constitution, and only left socialist/Marxist spending, which is NOT in the Constitution, we would STILL have a VERY large deficit and the National debt would continue to rise.

The very headline you linked to says that the Arkansas GOP calls candidates statements offensive. They have been roundly condemned for their views. A couple of dimwits candidates in some state house that fell through the cracks. Regarding your inability to find any dems. I don't think you have really looked very hard. They are there. None other than our current president has said some very interesting things in his recent past that are pretty quacky. Not one democrat has denounced it too. Speaks volumes doesn't it?
