After re-reading the above article it doesn't appear that either ICE or DeSantis are going after people with legitimate jobs and work visas. There are untold numbers of illegals that came into the country using the CBP One app or the CHNV program unvetted and with no plan to work; they just sponge off the Federal freebies provided by the govt and NGOs. These are the ones that should be deported.
There is no real "welfare" payments anymore, that disappeared a long time ago. and there are already work requirements to get food stamps, anyone who does not work has a medical reason for not working.
And you are correct for the disability programs, I know someone who had major back surgery and cant even stand for more than a few moments at a time and will probably get denied for help, and she is only a few years from retirement age anyway. Far too many people are collecting because of mental issues.
See there you go again with the belief that they come here to live off of the government, they come here to work, and they do work but there are plenty that get taken advantage of by employers who know they are illegal. If they have children that are born here, who are US citizens by the way, they are eligible for help, but the parents are not. Stop believing the lies they are telling on Fox news.
Your premise is wrong. American workers are currently working in harsh elements everyday. I see them delivering while walking in the cold, snow and ice daily. American workers will be more likely to do the job you posted with an excellent wage.
Maybe some have little regard for the”American worker” willing to do whatever it takes and do the dirty work in order to survive.
