The Trump Card...

Wow, they even have statutes and precedent for this kind of corruption.

Another question that comes from all these new revelations is why was she ever allowed to launch this case in the first place? It must have been OK'd by the powers that be in DC. Didn't they know anything about her? She's been doing the mess-around with Wade for over two years, and there's probably some other bones in her closet not yet disclosed. Or maybe all that was considered a resume enhancement.

The Biden Template for the Trump Dictatorship: like the proverbial frog being boiled in water, the American public has been lulled by the mainstream media into thinking Biden authoritarianism is the way things were meant to be - until we stop to read the Constitution.
This is about a two minute read, and worth every second after itemizing what the Democrats have imposed on us over the past three years.

I'd say it's not as sinister as some would like to believe. The case began in the first place because there was probable cause to believe crimes were committed and launching an investigation was the next logical and proper step for a DA to take.

Willis did not concoct the fake elector scheme. Willis did not make phone calls to election officials demanding improper actions. Willis did not attempt to tamper with voting machines in GA.
It must have been OK'd by the powers that be in DC.
Proof or speculation?

Perhaps so, but no proof if that yet.

Or not.

Except there is the small detail that Trump took great efforts to subvert the election and retain power when he was not constitutionally entitled to do so. He is the only president in US history to resist the peaceful transition of power. Add to that the many statements he has made that indicates his disdain for the Constitution.

Like Al Gore before him, Trump had the right to question and challenge the election results. Hillary Clinton also claimed the 2016 election was rigged and stolen from her.
He is the only president in US history to resist the peaceful transition of power.
Not accurate.

"Trump released a statement shortly after President-elect Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory was certified by Congress.
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” the president said in a statement posted to Twitter by his communications adviser Dan Scavino."

Add to that the many statements he has made that indicates his disdain for the Constitution.
As POTUS, Trump's policies and actions were nowhere close to the flagrant disdain for the Constitution that has been displayed by Biden and the Democrats for the past 3 years. Granted, Trump makes plenty of "statements" and preposterous off-the-cuff remarks, but actions speak louder than words. Trump needs to turn the page and forget 2020; he's on the verge of winning another four year term.

Fani’s lawyer is desperately alleging a conspiracy theory. Get out the popcorn.

This case is going to get ugly. People must have known about Willis diddling with Wade. Her setting him up as a lead prosecutor in a huge felony case for which he is not qualified surely created a lot of envious gossip about their relationship and their lavish lifestyle. Now the woman scorned is going to get her pound of flesh and blow this case up - and it's all going to be on TV.

It already is ugly. While we wait to hear more from Willis about this and for additional facts to emerge, nothing about the said romantic relationship and activities between Willis and Wade look good. It is all too common for high level political figures or important public officials, who are otherwise competent, to get themselves in to deep trouble because they failed to restrain their misguided impulses and/or restrain their utter stupidity in the domains of sex and romance. It seems Willis has added herself to that ignoble list of morons.

For me, and many others, including the RICO defendants who have not yet plead guilty, the big question is, "What of the case? How do the Willis/Wade lapses affect the case?" We'll learn more when the hearing Judge McAfee set takes place. In the meantime, this article is interesting. In short, the author is drawing a distinction between the ethical behavior of the prosecutors and the merits of the case itself.

Excerpt: "... even if all the factual allegations regarding Willis and Wade were true, there would be no basis for disqualifying them from prosecuting Roman or any of the other defendants in the election conspiracy case. ..."

"The key point is that regardless of whether the factual circumstances involving Willis and Wade give rise to separate ethical concerns with respect to his hiring, such questions do not affect the propriety of the prosecution against Roman and his co-defendants. Questions about gifts and related matters go to Willis’s and Wade’s obligations to the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, and have no connection to assuring the defendants a fair trial. These allegations are as irrelevant to the trial as allegations in other situations that prosecutors took office supplies for personal use, drove county vehicles for personal errands, or plagiarized portions of their student law review notes. All of those are legitimate issues—for prosecutors’ offices and those with oversight responsibilities to address—but such allegations do not bring criminal prosecutions to a stop or require that cases be transferred to a different office. Defense attorneys cannot use allegations of prosecutorial ethics violations, real or imaginary, that have nothing to do with a trial to delay or force prosecutors off of a case. ..."

"In this essay we provide a detailed analysis of the relevant legal questions. First, we review the law of prosecutorial disqualification in Georgia. Second, we explain why the Roman motion’s factual allegations, even if true, do not give rise to a conflict of interest that warrants disqualification of the prosecutors in Roman’s case."

Just spit-balling here ... because as a prosecutor it is within her authority ?

:joycat:

No.

That isn't how it works.

This Man is in a Position to Know
Actually, he's a known Never-Trumper in a position to lie and a Trump-hating X account gleefully laps it up and repeats his baseless claims. Notice that Kelly claims to know what Trump thinks, but doesn't provide a direct quote of what Trump said. Kelly made a similar claim to the Atlantic a few years ago that was openly disputed by John Bolton - hardly a Trump fan himself. Direct quotes of Trump disparaging the US military are virtually non-existent or mostly attributed to anonymous sources. On the other hand, Trump's actions and policies were consistently supportive of the military. Try comparing those with the treatment received by Biden.

Like I've said many times before, Trump himself is not the problem. Society can and will deal with whatever damage he does
That's right - Trump isn't the problem, Biden is along with his Democrat party handlers. Let's hope society can deal with the damage they've done to the country in three short years by erasing our borders, running up an already obscene national debt, weaponizing the DOJ to persecute his political rivals while allowing criminals to run rampant in the streets of our major cities - which are already clogged with homeless bums, their used syringes and human sewage. Last but not least, let's not forget what the Marxist liberals are doing to our schools with their woke DEI agenda and LGBTQ++ transgender insanity imposed on our pre-teen children. But wait - what about all the pro-Hamas, antisemitic indoctrination infesting our college campuses? What more has the Democrat party done to "improve" our society? There must be something I've left out.
The problem is the millions of mush minded minions that will continue to worship him as if he is the second coming.
All things considered, who really are the "mush minded minions" and what do they vote for?
