The case is not for the 11th Circuit to set Judge Cannon straight.
Well, should DOJ prevail @ the 11th Circuit, that's exactly what they will have done.
Many may not be aware that the DOJ didn't appeal her entire Special Master ruling.
Can't speak to what "many" are not aware of, but it certainly makes sense that DOJ wouldn't appeal anything that wasn't a significant impediment to their pursuing the criminal investigation of the Orange Mobster.
So they appealed a
narrow issue - on an expedited basis - the most egregious aspect of the various nonsensical rulings Judge Halfwit issued.
No reason to complicate the simple by introducing extraneous issues that might give some other activist Trump-appointed hacks to offer up some additional cockamamie legal perversions.
They backed off of that, as clearly explained in the following article by Jonathan Turley.
Personally, I'd avoid drinking the Koolaid from the punchbowl with the Turdleys in it.
But that's me ... as always: YMMV.
The Turdley goober couldn't even get Norm Ornstein's name correct ... despite linking to one of Norm's tweets.
Apparently they decided she was on pretty solid legal ground after all.
That isn't necessarily apparent at all.
DOJ still has the ability to appeal additional issues with her various rulings - should they decide it is in the public interest.
"In its motion for a stay pending appeal, it is only asking the 11th Circuit to allow it to continue using classified documents seized from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in a criminal investigation."
Like I said:
No need to complicate the simple.
