A veritable beat down ...
Hopefully the good judge will drop the hammer and sanction the lawyers as well.
That would really set off the wackos and their orange master.Hopefully the good judge will drop the hammer and sanction the lawyers as well.
Are these the same attorneys who were ridiculed and given no chance of success for their filing for a special master in the first place? There's no doubt that they and anyone else with a pulse anticipated this move in addition to the appeal of Judge Cannon's ruling in favor of appointing the special master. It could be that the courts - including the 11th Circuit - will take into consideration this DOJ's strong political bias against Trump and decide there's nothing wrong with an objective third party reviewing paperwork and looking into their activities to make sure there's no skulduggery going on with the documents they may or may not have found in their Mar-a-Lago raid. It's not like this DOJ/FBI cabal has a spotless reputation for honesty and integrity, especially when it comes to Trump or his supporters. My guess is Trump's attorney's will get little sleep tonight as they scramble to craft a response and the DOJ attorneys are sleeping soundly in their Florida hotel beds as they wait for tomorrow's hearing.
36 percent of Dems voted to confirm. Pesky facts. When the (literal) idiots of the nation band together and help to elect a corrupt, narcissistic, grifting, criminal moron to the Presidency, this can be what you get in terms of "only the Best People" nominated for Federal Judgeships:
Well when you elect a liberal Democrat so stupid that his son is caught doing drugs and having sex with hookers......When the (literal) idiots of the nation band together and help to elect a corrupt, narcissistic, grifting, criminal moron to the Presidency, this can be what you get in terms of "only the Best People" nominated for Federal Judgeships:
Yes, these are the same attorneys who were ridiculed. Are these the same attorneys who were ridiculed and given no chance of success for their filing for a special master in the first place?
Correct. An appeal was expected by almost everyone regardless of how the judge ruled. What was not anticipated was the astoundingly indefensible ruling the judge made. Her ruling was widely panned by numerous legal experts, including some who once worked for Trump. There's no doubt that they and anyone else with a pulse anticipated this move in addition to the appeal of Judge Cannon's ruling in favor of appointing the special master.
Yes, it could be that the courts will take into consideration the factors you cite.It could be that the courts - including the 11th Circuit - will take into consideration this DOJ's strong political bias against Trump and decide there's nothing wrong with an objective third party reviewing paperwork and looking into their activities to make sure there's no skulduggery going on with the documents they may or may not have found in their Mar-a-Lago raid.
Correct. The FBI is not without sin. It's not like this DOJ/FBI cabal has a spotless reputation for honesty and integrity, especially when it comes to Trump or his supporters.
What else can we do at our level? We're ordinary citizens watching this from afar.Maybe it's best to sit back and see how this process plays out.
Also true.Since these decisions could effect past and/or future Presidents, this case will very likely to go all the way to SCOTUS.
For the most part, all we know about the papers, classifications, the sloppy staged photo, etc is what's been released or leaked by the DOJ. The same DOJ that told us for three years that Trump was colluding with Russia. The same FBI that interfered with a presidential election by collaborating with media like Facebook and tamping down the Hunter Biden laptop investigation at a critical time during the campaign. In other words, their credibility leaves something to be desired. There must be a good reason they don't want a special master looking into what they're doing in the Mar-a-Lago process. Her decision was widely panned by mostly Leftist Law professors and hack former Prosecutors. The critic of the judge, that used to work for Trump is none other than disgruntled former employee(fired), current book seller, and former toady(Leftist description) Bill Barr. But now he is the Left’s bestist buddy.
The documents, that were kept in a storage area at the “beach resort” had 24 hour secret service protection.
Yup because they lied again. For the most part, all we know about the papers, classifications, the sloppy staged photo, etc is what's been released or leaked by the DOJ. Other than the good reasons DOJ has openly cited in its court filings, is there another "good reason." that you know about but the general public does not? What exactly are you getting at when you speculate about a "good reason?"There must be a good reason they don't want a special master looking into what they're doing in the Mar-a-Lago process.
We also know a court agreed probable cause existed to believe three crimes have been committed that warranted the legal search of Mar-a-Lago and the legal seizure of the materials listed on inventories later released. For the most part, all we know about the papers, classifications, the sloppy staged photo, etc is what's been released or leaked by the DOJ.
That is a significant court ruling. Much rides on this beyond this court. I'm surprised there has been no loud talk yet of appeal.Meanwhile in other news ...
It's now been ruled in a court of law that it was in fact an insurrection.
Likely not true and meaningless even if it was. Top secret documents are not kept in people's desk drawers when the desk owner is away months at a time; or, for that matter, even when the desk owner is present. Her decision was widely panned by mostly Leftist Law professors and hack former Prosecutors. The critic of the judge, that used to work for Trump is none other than disgruntled former employee(fired), current book seller, and former toady(Leftist description) Bill Barr. Just three documents were in his desk drawer where he works. The other documents were all in the storage area. Doesn’t look like there was an attempt to hide documents.Likely not true and meaningless even if it was. Wonder what 3 documents they "found" in the desk.Just three documents were in his desk drawer where he works. The other documents were all in the storage area. Doesn’t look like there was an attempt to hide documents.
Declassified crossfire hurricane “intelligence” ops most likely.I
Wonder what 3 documents they "found" in the desk.
Trump seems to have a leave a lot of disgruntled former employees in his wake....Her decision was widely panned by mostly Leftist Law professors and hack former Prosecutors. She doesn't trust them.Other than the good reasons DOJ has openly cited in its court filings, is there another "good reason." that you know about but the general public does not? What exactly are you getting at when you speculate about a "good reason?"
