In case you were wondering, what with a few mentions here and there in the MSM about Trump losing the popular vote...
Trump won 30 states, Clinton 20.
Of the 3,142 counties (including independent cities that are not part of any country, 38 of them in Virginia), Clinton won 487, Trump won 2,665.
New York, Clinton's "home" state, there are 62 counties. Trump won 46 of them, Clinton won 16.
The only states that were 100% Blue (Clinton) or Red (Trump) were:
All blue states: Hawaii and Massachusetts.
All red sates: Alaska, West Virginia, and Oklahoma.
Clinton won California, by a smidge, 8,753,788 votes to 4,483,810 votes (4,269,978 margin). That's how she was able to win the popular vote. California has 58 counties. Clinton won 33, Trump won 25. Los Angeles County has 10 million people.
Clinton won 88 of of the 100 largest counties (including Washington DC). Without these 100 largest counties she would have lost by a little more than 11.5 million votes.
People are, like, "She won by more than 2.5
million votes!" Yeah, well, one glance at the map and you can see just what kind of ass-kicking she really got.
If we do away with the Electoral College in favor of a strict democracy voting system, the areas of red would be under a complete and total command and control of the little blue dots.
