That's really it, right there. The rich have something I don't have, therefore they should be punished. WAAA WAAA WAAA. It's childish jealousy that liberal never grew out of. They'll try and justify it all kinds of ways, bit it all stems from hate. Liberals hate the rich. It's not that they merely dislike them, of they're annoyed by them, they absolutely and utterly hate the rich. They'll say they don't, then in the next breath propose changes and punishments that only come from hate.
What liberals hate is not "the rich", [there are plenty of rich people I respect and admire tremendously: Stephen King, Denzel Washington, Steve Buscemi, Gary Sinise, to name a few]. What liberals hate is the use of power to harm others, and the rich simply have more opportunities to do that.
The Liberal broken record is this: the rich are all actual or incipient criminals. Otherwise, how could they be rich? Anybody with success or its prospects should be taxed severely. Corporations are all greedy, thieving conspiracies that should be closed and shuttered, or even better, just signed over to the workers.
No one believes the rich are all criminals, but it's crystal clear that those who are [Wall Street] go unpunished.
If Liberals can, for just one moment, try to mind their own business, perhaps focusing on bettering themselves financially instead of bringing everybody else down, maybe, just maybe, we can fix our shaky economy and get on the path to prosperity once again. In context, it's clear to most Americans now that, as dysfunctional as the Republicans are, the Democrats simply don't know what they're doing.
The assumption that liberals wish to be rich themselves is totally unsupported by any evidence whatsoever - it's just a convenient deflection, in place of a response.
Conservatives are still demanding tax cuts for business [that never have and never can produce jobs], more cuts to 'social welfare' including Social Security [rather than an emphasis on cutting fraud & waste, and cutting foreign aid], and even more spending on defense [because meddling in the Middle East has worked so well, so far].
Instead of working on funding better education for all, [vouchers are another slap at less advantaged people], raising wages [that raises the demand for products & services that prompts hiring - the ONLY way to 'create' jobs], looking for ways & means to make both college and vocational education affordable [so people can aspire to the middle class, whatever their abilities], the conservatives are consumed with defunding Planned Parenthood, [because of a highly misleading 'gotcha' video series that has been thoroughly debunked], investigating HRC and the IRS [because all previous investigations didn't provide the answers they want], and fighting among themselves for more power in the Senate & House.
They're ALL dysfunctional, in one way or another, but the conservatives are doing [or trying to] real harm by promoting religion and other myths [you can succeed, if you just work hard enough] instead of facing reality.
