NO one in my family, myself, my wife, or my sons, can donate organs or blood. The result of a 5 year tour in the UK. Wish I could, I gave 10 gallons before we were banned.

And then sometimes you never know. We have a son that passed away last Febuary from a drug overdose. You never really know the reason. It just happens.

When I was 22, my 25 year old brother committed suicide, and as the sole family member also living in Fl, I had to identify him. It's tough, alright. The survivors nearly always feel some degree of guilt, whether deserved or not.
I believe I know why he did it, and you know, it doesn't make it any easier. Nothing does, except time.
My deepest condolences to you and yours.

Same to you as well. No part of it is easy. You are correct though, time is the greatest asset for something like this. In our case we think it was accidental. Nothing indicated anything else but it was one of those, "it just happened".

Yes Turtle does get a little nit picky and technical but that's his thang. But if you have a difficult problem or question that you need an aswer to he will research the heck out of it to get you the best possible answer so i think we'll keep him.

1 Corinthians 10:13

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it."

If you be His, God will never bring about circumstance for taking of life. You may be pushed to the utmost limit, and He will take you there for correction....but never to administer correction beyond your ability to correct.

The Holy Spirit will bring you to self evaluation, sometimes with much pain, but never to the point of suicide. The above verse renders that very clear.

Dave and Cheri..I'm sorry for your losses.

For me, it was a very long time ago [I said I was 22!] I mentioned it only to point out that the family and close friends often feel guilt, even when the reason is known, and had nothing to do with them. It's human nature to wonder whether we could have done anything to change the outcome, because we want it to turn out different.
It's just so dam hard to feel powerless!
